Anyone can add content and ideas! To create a free account, just click log in / create account at the top right of this page.

If you have never logged in before, you will then click [Create an account]. Invent a username and password for yourself. It's best (but optional) to fill in your email address and real name, too.
You can't mess up the site. So don't worry, and don't be shy. Your work will give ideas to others.
Also, don't worry about getting everything perfect. Your work will be edited, just as we hope you will edit and improve the work of others.

We seek

  • questions and difficulties with the curriculum
  • answers to others' questions and difficulties
  • classroom ideas that enhance teaching
  • materials developed by classroom teachers that are useful in supporting lessons
  • articles on research and/or practice that relate to Think Math! topics or the curriculum itself
  • children's research results from the Think Math! LAB's that are illuminating and/or puzzling

Suggestions are welcome. To send suggestions or request advanced editing privileges, please email Admin <thinkmath@edc.org>.

A work in progress

This site is a first step.
Mathematical communication requires regular use of graphics -- diagrams, charts, graphs, geometric images, graphical annotations on symbolic expressions, special page layout -- and cannot depend on text alone. Keeping it fully open-source, so that others can improve the articles we write, means making it easy for others to create and edit the graphics, too. We are researching tools to make this possible, but do not yet have them.
